Book Description

The book contains eighteen studies, announced in a conference with the same title, which was co-organized by the Holy Metropolis of Chios, Psara and Ιnousses and the Institute of Historical Research / NHRF (Chios, May 6-8, 2016). They present in detail the intellectual personality of Konstantinos Amantos (1874-1960) – eminent scholar, university professor and member of the Academy of Athens- and enlighten various sides of his scientific work and his contribution to Byzantine and Modern Greek studies, linguistics, as well as to the local history of Chios, his native island.
